What to Expect and How to Prepare for Ev & Bow

01 what to expect

Applicants will be taken through a series of in-person dance classes, usually in the styles of classical ballet, contemporary and commercial jazz. One-on-one interviews are then conducted in order to get to know the applicant and understand the specific goals in their training they may have.

02 how to prepare

We suggest applicants maintain a high level of training in the lead up to their audition. Completing all necessary paperwork is essential, as well as providing us with an up-to-date head shot and pre-medical assessment.

Ev & Bow is an all inclusive environment. Due to Ev & Bow’s commitment to providing the very best training, only a very select group is accepted each year in order to maintain the upmost quality. Ev & Bow takes into account technical ability, work ethic and commitment to the craft above all else.

Sarah Boulter

SARAH BOULTER

DIRECTOR

After a successful international career Sarah has returned to Australia to continue developing her choreography. As a dancer Sarah was often employed due to her choreographic talent and has worked with well-known choreographers and directors in a collaborative manner.

Credits Include  "Enter The Vortex" by the Dream Dance Company, "Dance Academy, The Come Back", The Opening Ceremony of the Arab Games (David Atkins Enterprises), SYTYCD UK and Australia season 1, 2, 3 & 4, Dance Academy ABC3, The Voice for Jennifer Hudson & Puberty Blues.

Meryl Tankard’s “Kiadan saw Sarah display her choreographic ingenuity, while creating alongside this world-renowned choreographer as well as a team of Tiakoz drummers...

Sarah spent two years living in Las Vegas, where she had the amazing opportunity of working in the Celine Dion show A New Day, working with great names such as Mia Michaels and Franco Dragone.

As well as performing and creating Sarah finds passion in teaching. She has taught all around the world receiving much acclaim., Sarah is sought after for her contemporary works & find’s great pleasure in sharing her Knowledge to up & coming Dancers.

Lisa Bowmer

LISA BOWMER

DIRECTOR

A holder of a B.App.A(Dance).B.Ed degree, Lisa is a 15-year dance educator. Lisa has a passion for teaching and nurturing young talent, and has trained many dancers that are working professionally nationally & internationally.

Lisa owned and successfully operated Dance Kinetic School of Performing Arts from 1999-2011, housing over 250 students. The school continues to operate today. Lisa boasts outstanding Dance HSC results to date. Her students have only ever been placed in the top 10% of the State. Notable years were 2006, 2007 and 2010 where first place in the State for Dance were achieved.

Lisa enjoys and has a drive for choreography and has worked with foremost entertainers including Peter Cousins, The Ten Tenors, Wakakirri, School Spectacular, as well as State and Regional Dance Festivals.

As a dancer Lisa has studied under a number of prominent Australian and International choreographers. In 1995 she was accepted into the London Contemporary Dance School. Lisa enjoys passing on her knowledge to young talent and is in demand for her teaching expertise at all age group levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your daily hours?
Students attend Ev & Bow Monday – Friday between 8:30am – 4pm. Our Youth company hours are Sunday’s 9am – 12pm.
Are you close to Public Transport?
Yes! We are walking distance from Kirrawee Station.
How many students do you accept into your intake each year?
We are an extremely selective course, only accepting a maximum 35 students per year to maintain an elite level of training and assessment.
Do you offer Fee Help?
Fee Help/HECS is unavailable, however payment plans are available for both our Fulltime and Youth programs.
What class styles are usually seen in an average day at Ev&Bow?
In an average day at Ev & Bow it can be expected that you will undergo classes in ballet, contemporary, commercial jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre, singing, drama, acrobatics, personal training, pilates, yoga, mat class or dance partnering.
Are there scholarships available?
